Fits H&K VP9 P10 P30 P2000 Hogue holsters offer unparalleled protection without compromising performance and comfort. Heavy duty construction ensures guaranteed performance in any environment and any condition. Hogue’s patented Automatic Retention System (ARS) provides an extra level of security over the standard, open-top, friction style holsters. Modified to accommodate two different locking modes, the Sport ARS can function in an open or closed mode. Open mode relies on friction for retention, reducing activation time for a faster draw, while closed mode adds active retention by way of a standard thumb release for added security. The holsters also feature an adjustable retention screw to ensure a perfect fit. Speaking of perfect fit, the holsters support three different attachment methods for personalized carry. Pre-installed with an offset drop belt plate which mounts a pistol below the waist and away from the body for increased speed, a Quick Locking System (QLS) adapter and carry holster plate are also included for easy load out changes and non-competition use. Made from black carbon fiber weave aerospace polymer, each holster is precision molded and features a large front speed cut to facilitate an efficient draw while also accommodating a wide range of slide mounted optics and sights without obstruction or loss of speed. Growing in popularity in all shooting disciplines, red dot sights are common among shooters competing in carry optics and open divisions. Different brands require more break in than others.Breaking in agood leather holsteris mandatory for it to function;when it is new you may not be able to draw the firearm from it as quickly as you might need itor at all.After you have checked the holster for suitability and broken it in correctly, then your can bet your life that it will hold the gun securely, protect the gun from inadvertent access, and allow you to get the gun quickly when you need it. There are plenty of articles online for breaking in a leather holster.I get many messages about the thumb snap (if applicable). The thumb snap is difficult to get snapped on many holsters when you first get it. You have to work leather. Bottom line, if you get it and it is not fitting the high percentage of time is that you have not seated it fully or worked it fully. LEATHER HOLSTERS: One of the common messages I get is about how tight a leather holster is when you first get it. You have to break in a leather holster. Some holster makers are able to get close to perfection but you usually pay 3 digit prices for those. One method I enjoy is wrapping the pistol, unloaded, in a plastic wrap or bag and stuffing(actually pushing)that into the holsterleaving it inovernight or for a few days.IF you are not prepared for your ccw carry gun to have nicks and marks from leather and/or kydex wear then do not carry that gun or do not carry at all; your head is in the wrong place for it.Thanks for looking, Big Mike. Also, all holsters should be worn with the belt fully tightened, but not uncomfortable.
