This listing is for a beautiful handmade lady’s fancy hat by Nancy Manders. There is no maker’s mark inside, but her style is very distinctive (so I recognize this as hers) and it came with other hats that looked very similar and had her label. It was likely made in mid-to-late 1980s.The hat comes with a natural wood hat stand. The hat is made of lovely pink fabric with pink piping around the brim and a pink silk ribbon around the crown and a gorgeous pink feather curling around the crown. It has a full pink ribbon bow on one side and five pink silk roses on the other. As a result of this clever design, it can be worn with the feather on either side! The hat can be removed from the stand, so it can be worn or rested on a piece of furniture. You can also hand paint the stand if you like! This piece would be the perfect decorative touch to a lady’s bedroom or dressing room, or in a milliner’s / hat shop. Approximate Dimensions: Hat Only: ⅜” H x 1⅜” W x 1½” D(Stand not included in dimensions, but it is about 2″ H without the hat) This item: Is a pre-owned collector’s piece.
