Thank you AUTHENTIC WWII US ARMY AIR FORCES AN-J-4 DARK BROWN SHEEPSKIN LEATHER BOMBER JACKET WITH ARMY AIR FORCES ON SHOULDER DATED 1943 MANUFACTURED BY AERO LEATHER CLOTHING COMPANY BEACON, NY. (founded in c. 1937) TAG READS : JACKET-AN-J-4SWG. NO. AN-6553 A.C. CONTRACT NO. 43-13616-AF PROPERTY AIR FORCES, US ARMY AERO LEATHER CLO. CO.BEACON, NY. SIZE 40 This WWII bomber jacket model AN-J-4, was the last model to be made from sheepskin leather. In less than a year after they were manufactured they were super seeded by the pile-lined fabric flight jackets. The leather has a surfaces flaking scratchs and cuts in few areas, do to use and âge . There are two small tears : one near the left gusset and one other on left wrist, there are a few leather patchs sewing repair in several places , ( all in same leather and same color of this jacket , the repair has been realized by a professional. There are a few small tears , the heaviness of this jacket make it fragile , can not wear before repair , average condition look the pics please Rare one panel in back Sheep wool liner in good condition but need a clean This jacket has underarm gussets leather strap button closure collar Leather strap on front for attaching oxygen mask retainer clip Side leather buckle adjustments at waist (small traces of oxidation) Snap closure flap pockets ( studs embossed brass united carr) Wool knit interior cuffs It has a front full length Conmar brass zipper with the original leather zipper pull. The zipper works fine.
